Eureka!

Today, I'd like to share a story with you..

This is the tale of a bright young fish which entered a competition with a monkey to climb a tree. Now obviously, the fish couldn't climb the tree and couldn't succeed.
.
.
.
The tale doesn't end here . The fish then got so gloomy and disappointed with itself, it never became aware of its potential i.e. swimming in water. Thus, it never could see anything beyond its loss, gave up and hence truly failed in its life.

Think about it.. Had it been a swimming competition instead, the fish would have easily won right?

.

So do you see how not realizing your potential can be preventing you from achieving your best?!

Disclaimer Time: This story was based on the following words apparently by Mr. Albert Einstein..

This story gave me a glimpse to how much we are dominated by our preconceived judgments in our lives! And interestingly, as I thought more about the story, I saw my own judgments and thoughts .. and as I came to terms with who I am, those judgments just disappeared!

It was like the burst of a bubble and then, things just were .. are.

I suddenly became clear about the fact that things around me just are what they are, WITHOUT the adjectives that can be associated with them.

In other words, I realized that any thing, person or situation is just what it is ; and that it is our emotions or the words that we use to describe them or relate with them (that are anyways dependent on how we view them!), that influence our idea about them.

Therefore, whatever we experience is actually dependent on our own previously formed idea about them! . You with me?

. . .

So with my shenanigans gone now, I began seeing things in a new light.. (please excuse me .. am a little out of words here) .. Do me a favor to look at anything around you and just observe what comes to your mind?
.
.
Is there any adjective or emotion associated with it?
Please do let me know. 😊

  1. This is the such a beautiful post. It's perfect (if that's a possibility) ..!

Our mind is not our mind, our thoughts are not thoughts. We are just an observer, who is in a human body which is ruled by emotions.

    Absolutely Awesome.
Having Assumption about anyone or any thing or any happenings can only leave us confused but not happy.
Having Awareness about your external self and inner self is most important and that will give you more peace and happiness.
